...A1 for English, then I suggest you really look at the handout on the Situational Writing Tasks and seriously attempt to practise the various tasks in there. I am now marking the work done by some of your more hardworking compatriots and I wish I had more time to go through the finer points of how to write persuasively, how to apologize, convince, sound urgent, explain, rationalise...etc etc.
So do seek me out while you still have the chance. Otherwise, Mdm Sng will be busy planning for her Dec holiday and the best I can do is to pray that the good Lord will help you on 8 Nov.
Anyone with a Japanese phrase book to lend me?? Nippon here I come!!

have fun at japan o_o and its nihhon, not nippon for japan, that's how it's prounounced. I used to have a "How to speak japanese and not look like a Gaijin" phrasebook, tried digging it, can't find, so can't help >_<
hmm.. upon taking GP, i find tt writing beautiful narrative essays doesn't helps, which i am glad cuz my Os eng, i wrote argumentative essay.. surprise rite?? hahaz.. even Mrs Kaan ask me nt to attempt it.. she discourage me to write argumentative for perlims oso, but i still went on ahead, much to her dismay of cuz, but scored 28/40.. lolx.. she was happy for me.. i still rmb she came to me aft eng prelim paper, she say, 'told u to write on recount type qns, y u still choose argumentative essay?' in fact, i tink i'm the only one hu did argumentative qns for prelim tt yr.. u noe la, nobody likes argumentative essay cuz it has got a reputation for being v.tough.. but i am really bad wif narrative essays.. my command of eng is just not tt gd.. so, argumentative somehow suits me more.. in any case, i am v.statisfied wif my Os eng result.. got a B.. lolx..
