Fruits of your labour

What a nice surprise to see these on sale last Sunday:

I instantly knew these were the fruits of your hard labour 2 weekends ago, when you volunteered to help pack the candies in aid of the Boys' Town fundraising drive.

Without any hesitation, I bought a couple of boxes and told my husband and my daughter how they came about. I swear my face was positively glowing with pride.

I'm sure the beneficiaries in the Boys' Town need whatever little help you could give, and you gave many precious hours of your weekend. Excellent job!

o btw mdm sng, i split the work load with shimin, and i asked her if i could put it up on the blog. Anyway, CAN WE DO CIP FOR AN ORGANIZATION THAT WE CAN PRONOUNCE ITS NAME PROPERLY?! The flag day you signed us up for, the name's so complex. I think we'll be dumbfounded when asked sth like " what organization are you helping?"

I kinda agree with uni. By the time we finish trying to pronounce the name, our potential donator would have walked off.
And I really wonder if buying the candies was a good idea. Why? Simple. On saturday when we packed the boxes, the first batch had 7 sweets. The second had 6 sweets and the last had 5 sweets. I'm not sure if anyone accidentally pack one with 4 sweets. :) Not to mention they (jencen and the boys) HAD FUN THROWING the boxes...
And thanks for changing the address mdm sng.

Your blog has certainly been well written. Your goal in bringing your students closer to the English Language is highly admired by me. You are entirely different from the stereotype image I have of teachers. Teachers can be nice people too however it is hardly the case now in this modern society.

I am innocent!! I didn't sign you up for this CIP. It is the school's CIP program, and I can't pick the organization.

Don't complain about the pronunciation, practise it many many times -- good for your Oral exams anyway! Hehehe

Sweet Unfortunate:
Thanks for visiting my blog.

I am quite alarmed by your last sentence "Teachers can be nice people too however it is hardly the case now in this modern society." I hope you are not speaking from experience. The teachers I know are basically very nice people and I have no reason to believe they would turn into nasty shrews in the classroom, except if the students are lazy or disrespectful and deserve to be treated more harshly.

Teachers are human. They are not perfect. So I hope students can be more understanding in this respect too.
