A teacher's fear
Last night, a sudden fear gripped me.
That when I turn 50, and am unable to play a decent game of tennis or badminton with my students anymore, or wear trendy clothes, or listen to pop songs that teens like, will my students still like me?
Will they bother to check out my blog? Will I be become, in their eyes, an ancient relic, someone they can easily dismiss, as being too uncool to associate with? Will I cease to be relevant to them?
Do teachers have a short shelf life?

Wa lao! You did a frequency distribution table to track how many times I wear skirts & pants to work???!!!
Yes I wear more pants now. Because I walk home everyday. And it's more comfortable walking home in pants and low flat-heeled shoes.
PS: I think Ms Lam looks fine and sprightly!
No need to wa lao... Lihua knows what EVERY teacher wore before. Skirt, pants, what color shirt, type of shoe...
Ms Lam looks fine and sprightly, but she talks like, ah, ahem, nevermind.
sheesh, don worry bout it mdm sng, you can always try to have OTHER interactive activities when you cant play tennis. Like organizing a field trip to somewhere nice, say, umm,mac ritchie for canoeing/forest trekking? You'll keep up with us for sure, don worry =D
Organize an interactive activities to go to a museum :P I'm sure the kids would love it :x
haha looks like Frequency Distribution has been proven to be useful in real life situations :x
frequency distribution is your friend!
Plot the number of days miss lam short changes her lessons by sidetrekking and calculate on which day is she gonna have remedials based on other days she had her remedials. And so, you prepare for the worse knowing when! Well, sorry, its still useless, its definitely thursday and over 3.30 cause she never changes.
... ... Did you really install that memory chip in your head lihua?
shdwhawk
Walking Google huh?
Now I wish someone would say that of me! But I know I am not that intellectual and knowledgeable.
Sigh...
